BotM:The Darkest Dark

The Darkest Dark by astronaut Chris Hadfield is a children's book about a young boy who dreams of becoming an astronaut but is afraid of the dark. After watching the Apollo 11 moon landing, he realizes that space is the darkest place of all—and also the most exciting. This helps him overcome his fear and believe in his dreams.

Discussion Questions:

  1. What would be different about life without gravity?

  2. Why do you think having big dreams is important in life?

  3. What are you most afraid of? What would it look like to face your fear?

  4. Have you ever faced a fear? What happened? (This is a great opportunity for students to ask their parents a question!)

  5. What do you think exists in space that humans haven’t found yet?

I really enjoyed reading this blog. This post beautifully shows how courage can overcome fear. It’s inspiring for young readers to dream big and reach for the stars. Just like the story reminds us that even the darkest places hold wonder, thesis help services Galway can guide academic dreamers toward success.
