Jackson Hole Mini-Maker Faire 2016: Celebrating Innovation in the Tetons
Date: May 21, 2016 -- 12 - 4 PM
Location: Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools
JH Children's Museum is happy to be a partner for the 2016 Mini Maker Faire. Maker Faire is part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new! As a celebration of the Maker Movement, it’s a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Faire gathers together tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, food artisans, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. Makers come to show their creations and share their learnings. Attendees flock to Maker Faire to glimpse the future and find the inspiration to become Makers themselves. Dig, dump, push, pull, rake, mow, sweep, scoop, reach, rescue! Join Jackson Hole Children’s Museum for the 4th annual Touch-a-Truck on Sunday, June 12 from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. Vehicles of all sorts — construction, emergency, law enforcement, landscaping, food service, recreation and more — will line North King Street, available for kids of all ages to explore in a safe, supervised environment. This event offers a unique opportunity to touch the levers, switches and knobs that make our favorite rigs whir, as well as meet the vehicle operators who build, serve and protect our community every day.
In addition to the truck extravaganza, enjoy great music, delicious food from local vendors and interactive new museum exhibits.
