Our New home at 105 Mercill
1. A warm and welcoming place where families and children are free to be themselves.
2. A place where the Jackson Hole Children's Museum can offer programs in service of our community for a long, long time.

Why Invest in a 105 Mercill?
This is a historic moment for the Jackson Hole Children's Museum. We have been "homeless" for over a decade. This has impeded our ability to best serve the children and families of our community. With the opportunity to invest in a long-term home the museum has the ability to dig its "feet" in, gain momentum, and best serve this community. While the Jackson Hole Children's Museum has had "homes" since its founding in 2011, the uncertainty of those homes hovered over us with great significance. First there was King Street, then Jean Street, then JH Indoors, and now Mercill. Mercill is different.
Our programs will double, our classrooms will be state-of-the art, our exhibits will improve & our impact will expand. A new home for JHCM is coming at critical time for the community. Covid-19 contributed to significant isolation that impacted so many children and families. They need a place to reconnect. To take risks. To build up the confidence through creativity, through science, and through play. Our timeline is tight to build-out the spaces while simultaneously maintaining the amazing programs this community expects from us.

"Forever Home" - An idea that all children and families should find a safe, accepting, warm, and celebratory place to learn, to grow, to be.
"The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned."

join us on the path to mercill
When the Jackson Hole Children's Museum's lease was not renewed last February, it was both a challenge and an opportunity. We submitted our proposal to Teton County in May of 2022 to secure over 5000 square feet of commercial space at the new development at 105 Mercill Avenue in downtown Jackson Hole. Our staff and board enthusiastically endorsed the pursuit of this space. In early September, the Teton Board of County Commissioners voted 4-1 to move forward with our proposal to bring a robust educational ecosystem to Mercill.
With this opportunity the Jackson Hole Children's Museum has committed itself to raising the necessary funds from our community to plan, design, build, and staff a vital childcare facility for our community. "In the world of education, creating safe places where all children have the freedom to express themselves, to investigate the world, to create something beautiful and to be accepted for who they are is a rare occurrence. A place where a child is free to dream, free to hope, free to create, free to science. A place for children to be seen. That is a place, a home, worth investing in. In order to create that space, the museum needs to finish construction of 105 Mercill. We are asking this community to join this exciting journey. I couldn't be more excited and grateful for this opportunity."
