In Maker Days, you are the master builder! Tap into your creative mind to design and make your own masterpieces. The Children’s Museum will provide a wide variety of cool supplies, including recycled materials, paint, tape, and much more. Makers will have the choice to make new creations every day or spend the entire 5 days on one project. On the final evening of 6/29, parents are invited to join us for our very own Maker Days gallery walk.
Design Challenge (Entering 2nd-4th grade):
Will you accept the challenge? In this camp, a new design challenge will be presented to you each day. Use your creativity and problem-solving skills to design, create, test, and refine your projects. Challenges may include new materials to use, obstacles to overcome, and more! Note: camp will be held on July 4th.
Imagination Detectives (Entering K-1st grade):
Join us for daily explorations of the natural and imaginary world. Together, we will find inspiration for our creations from nature, books, and our own wild imaginations. Materials will include natural objects, recycled goods, and traditional art supplies. Together, we will play, create, explore, and discover in our wonderful world!
Mission: Wonder (Entering 2nd-4th grade):
July 30 - August 3
In this camp, you will become an expert at detecting the cool, beautiful, and amazing things in and out of this world. Together, we will explore local natural and city spaces to find the amazing phenomena hidden in plain sight all around us. With inspired minds, we will make incredible creations and works of art based on what we have seen, experienced, and imagined!
Critters, Creatures, and Kids (Entering K-1st grade):
In this camp, we will explore the world of critters and creatures! Build animal dens and human homes, discover hidden spaces and bird nests, and learn what connects us to the natural world. As always, games, discovery, and fun will abound!
Nature Ninjas (Entering 2nd-4th grade):
How do ravens fly? What do kids and coyotes have in common? Why do aspens quake? As a Nature Ninja, you will discover answers to these questions and many more. Along the way, play fun games, make friends, and build new skills.
