Maker Days and Beyond: Back by popular demand! Take your maker skills to the next level! In this open-ended and kid-centered program, we will invent new machines, create new objects, and make amazing things. The Children’s Museum will provide a wide variety of cool supplies, including recycled materials, paint, tape, and much more. You will have the choice to make new creations every day or spend the entire session on one project. On the final evening parents are invited to join us for an exhibition of the kids’ work.
Elements of Design: Do you want to expand your abilities as a designer? Do you like learning how things work and testing your creations? In Elements of Design, you will take your building skills to the next level, with more in-depth challenges, as well as time for free-building! We will dissect electronics, make working mechanisms, and create our own inventions to solve real problems.
Cover to Cover: Join us as we engage in the process of making our own unique books. Together, we will learn to create stellar stories, draw and paint incredible illustrations, and even cover and bind our own books. Themes of the day will include making paper, pop-up illustrations, and character creation.
Mixed Media: Calling all visionaries, dreamers, and artists! In this fun and relaxed program, we will spend our time creating mixed media art pieces. Mixed media art blends various styles to create unique and interesting creations. Choose to work independently or with friends as you construct awesome works of art!
